Consider the actual location
A sheltered living room, wet entrance and sloping driveway are different environments. Specify the intended use and expected conditions before selecting a surface.
Request relevant evidence
Ask the designer or supplier for test evidence relevant to the specified finish and its application. A general non-slip label or a matt appearance is not a substitute for that evidence.

Include cleaning and drainage
Water management and ongoing cleaning form part of practical suitability. Commercial kitchens and wet areas need separate specification; do not carry an indoor high-gloss finish outdoors by default.
Take this to your assessment
Bring photographs and a short description of how the space is used. Ask which assumptions need a site visit or trial, and have the agreed answer included in the written scope.
This guide supports project planning. Confirm the selected products, substrate requirements and installation instructions with the supplier.
