Sequencing Polished Concrete Within Your Renovation

Timing a polished concrete floor within a wider renovation is a coordination problem as much as a flooring one. Grind too early and later trades can damage a finished surface; leave it too late and you risk scheduling it around work that should have made way for it first. Getting this right means sharing your floor scope, required machine access and edge-work needs with your builder early, since decisions about cabinetry, partitions and glazing can quietly change what’s actually accessible by the time the floor crew arrives. Some projects can split preparation from final finishing; others can’t. Either way, protection and handover need a plan just as much as the grind itself.
