Respond without spreading
Remove the spill promptly using the floor’s approved cleaning method. Avoid spreading oils or liquids across a larger area, and keep people clear of slippery contamination.
Avoid improvised chemistry
An acidic or abrasive treatment can change the surface. Identify the spill and protection system, then ask the supplier about suitable treatment rather than mixing household products.

Know when to assess
Deep staining and chemical etching are different problems. Record the event and take photographs; some marks cannot be fully removed without altering the surrounding finish.
Take this to your assessment
Bring photographs and a short description of how the space is used. Ask which assumptions need a site visit or trial, and have the agreed answer included in the written scope.
This guide supports project planning. Confirm the selected products, substrate requirements and installation instructions with the supplier.
